Total 8,050,000 printers sold in Asia Pacific area. The market is still increasing

Accroding to number of IDC, total 8,050,000 printers sold in Asia Pacific area in 3rd quarter of year 2022, 9.9% increased on last year same time. This is the second increase of the quarter in the area.

In this quarter 2022-10 to 2022-12, the sales of inkjet printers increased more than 10%, but laser printer and dot matrix printers sales decreased. The inkjet printers incresed mostly in China and Indonesia. Espacially in China, boosted by the 11.11 promotion, the sales reached the peak. In Indonesia, the sales also inceased in the second line cities. The inflation and currency devaluation narrowed the consumption a little, but the requirement for government was stable.

In addition, the sales of A3 laser printers increased as the parts supplies were improved.

Accroding to number of IDC, India was still the second largest market of inkjet printers. For laser printers, the 5 most selling are China, India, Korea, Australia and Vietnam.

In this quarter the most selling Brands are HP, Canon, and Epson.
